Welcome to Hoshino Lab !

We are studying space and astrophysical plasmas. Our particular interest is on elementary plasma physical processes (such as magnetic reconnection, collisionless shocks, magneto-rotational instability) and acceleration of energetic charged particles (or cosmic rays) associated with them. Understanding of these elementary processes may be applied to various phenomena occurring in, Earth's magnetosphere, solar corona, and furthermore, supernova remnants, pulsar winds/nebulae or other high-energy astrophysical objects. Theory, numerical simulations as well as in-situ satellites observation data are used in our research. See here for more detail about our research.
